Breitling has just unveiled a SuperOcean, one of its bestsellers, dedicated to its new partnership as official timekeeper of Ironman endurance races which integrate running, cycling and swimming. Since its inception in 1978, this triathlon has become the ultimate challenge for body, mind and spirit to which professional and amateur athletes submit.

The case


This Breotling SuperOcean is fitted with a 44 mm steel case water resistant to 1,000 meters with a black unidirectional rotating bezel. It also has a black dial, featuring the Ironman logo at 3 o'clock; Moreover, that sounds a bit too "advertising" watch, but hey ... The whole is protected by a thick domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.

The numbers, indexes and hands are enhanced by a Superluminova coating which makes them perfectly legible whatever the light. This watch has an automatic mechanical caliber with a standard 38-hour power reserve. COSC certified, it is therefore a chronometer. The Ironman logo and the words "ONE OF 300" (which prevents the brand from numbering them one by one) are engraved on the caseback.
