Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold 41mm Replica Wach For 2019

In 2017, the house of Audemars Piguet celebrates the 40th anniversary of its emblematic Royal Oak model. To mark this special occasion, the famous Swiss watchmaker has unveiled a number of exclusive new Royal Oak editions, including the dazzling Royal Oak Frosted Gold designed in collaboration with jewelry designer Carolina Bucci. This fresh interpretation of the great classic is inspired by an ancient Florentine technique rooted in gold hammering. It consists of altering the surface of the gold by beating it with a diamond tipped tool,  to create tiny hollows and make it sparkle as it catches the light.

The case


The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold was originally introduced at SIHH 2017, and the company was actually aiming it for their female clients. The model debuted in white and rose gold, and 33m and 37mm sized cases. However, during the same event, a larger version of the model, obviously a prototype was spotted on the wrist of Audemars Piguet’s CEO François-Henry Bennahmias. As he later explained, many male customers wanted a frosted Royal Oak for themselves, so he decided to make a 41mm version as well.


The movement


Today, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold 41mm replica watch has finally seen the light. In low light conditions it looks just like a regular Royal Oak, but once it catches some light, it sparkles and shines while retaining its soft, balanced lines.  For now, the Royal Oak Frosted Gold 41mm comes in white gold only, paired with a blue tapisserie dial. While the ladies’ models were available in a choice of quartz or automatic movement, the big one is powered by the automatic caliber 3120. The movement beats at a frequency of 3Hz, ensuring about 60 hours of power reserve.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Frosted Gold 41mm measures 9.8mm in thickness and it features a sapphire crystal on both sides of the case. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters.
