Introducing The Chopard L.U.C. Time Traveler One Replica Watch

This year is the 20th Anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture – and to celebrate they have created their first worldtime watch: the L.U.C. Time Traveler One.

The movement

To power the new timepiece, the Fleurier-based L.U.C. division of Chopard designed and manufactured an all new automatic worldtime movement, caliber L.U.C 01.05-L. The movement beats at 4Hz (28,800 vph), measures 35.30 mm x 6.52 mm, has 262 components, 39 jewels, a 60-hour power reserve, and is COSC chronometer certified. The bridges are decorated with Geneva stripes and chamfered edges, with circular graining on the mainplate.

The case

The Chopard Time Traveler One replica watch case measures 42 mm x 12.09 mm, and is available in a choice of either stainless steel, rose gold, or platinum. Like the L.U.C. GMT One we showed you earlier this week, there are two crowns – one at 2 o’clock embossed with the L.U.C. logo, and the other 4 o’clock embossed with a globe motif – which controls all of the functions. Each crown measures 6.50 mm and has a polished and satin brushed finish.


The case features vertical satin brushing on the case middle, with polishing on the bezel, dual crowns, top of the lugs, and exhibition caseback. Water-resistance is 50 meters.

The dial

In stainless steel, the dial is black with a satin-brushed sunburst finish; in rose gold, the dial is silver-toned with a satin-brushed sunburst finish; and the platinum model features a gray-blue satin-brushed sunburst finish. The hour and minute hands for all versions are what Chopard calls “Dauphine-type” hands, and they are rhodium-plated, except for the rose gold model which has a black treatment on the hands. Along with the hour and minute hands, there is centrally mounted baton-shaped central seconds which is orange for the steel model, rose gold for the rose gold model, and rhodium plated for the platinum version. An arrow-tipped skeletonized date hand points to the date in the center of the dial and is rhodium plated on the steel and platinum models, and black for the rose gold version.

Functionally, the innermost ring indicates the date on a sunburst chapter ring with printed numerals. The 2nd ring from the center, which has a snailed surface, indicates the hour via printed Arabic numerals and indices, along with minutes/second via graduations. The outermost chapter ring features the 24-hour second time display printed with two colors to show whether it is night or day. And outside of that are the world time cities printed on the rotating city ring/flange.
