Celeb Watch: Floyd Mayweather’s Limited Edition Hublot Watches


It’s no secret that twelve-time, five division undefeated world champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather has a thing for luxury watches. Alongside other luxury watches from the watchmaking giants, Hublot is warming up for Baselworld. While Hublot and Mayweather have had a relationship since 2015, the two Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT models are the first watches created by the brand in honor of the boxer. As expected, the watches are as flashy as Mayweather’s Hublot shorts that inspired the design.

Limited to just 100 pieces, the Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT Carbon Gold chronograph sports a 45mm case made from a carbon composite that has gold powder manually inserted into the carbon fiber layers. The result is a unique gold speckled black carbon material that almost looks like a fancy camouflage pattern. To match the gold and black details of the case, the skeletonized dial features the TMT logo—“The Money Team”—in gold appliqué, along with gold hands, gold indexes, and gold encircled subdials. Carrying on the black and gold colorway is the black calf leather strap embellished with a strip of python leather and gold studs. Flip the watch around and you’ll see Mayweather’s mantra, “The Best Ever” abbreviated boldly with the letters TBE applied to the sapphire caseback, in addition to his signature.

Accompanying the carbon gold version is the even more lavish Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT Yellow Gold Jewelry, this time limited to only 10 pieces. The 45mm case is crafted entirely in 18k yellow gold, set with 176 diamonds. The diamond-set bezel includes 48 baguette-cut diamonds, while the skeletonized dial also shines bright with diamonds on the subdials, indexes, and TMT logo.

Commenting on the new Hublot watches that bear his name, Mayweather stated, “Everyone knows I’m crazy about mechanical beauties, especially sparkling watches. So I’m truly proud to see the letters TMT x Hublot glittering on top of my watch. This timepiece means a lot to me, it symbolizes my career, my unbeaten 50-0 record and my last fight when I made history!”
